Marriage Services

Counseling

We understand that building a strong foundation for marriage begins well before the wedding day. Pastor Willie de Jongh offers compassionate and insightful counseling services, including pre-marital counseling and ongoing relationship support. These sessions provide a safe space for couples to explore essential topics, strengthen communication, and gain tools to navigate married life together. Focused on each couple’s unique journey, Pastor Willie’s guidance helps to address personal or relational challenges and foster deeper understanding and connection. Pre-marital counseling and other counseling sessions are available by arrangement and can be discussed in detail to suit your needs.

(We do not require that you attend any pre-marital counseling sessions, however, these are available should you wish to avail yourself of them)

I am a Marriage Officer, Reverent based in Pretoria, South Africa, and licensed and appointed by the Department of Home Affairs Byron Place Pretoria to conduct legal marriages in South Africa.

I can officiate a marriage between two South African Citizens. A South African Citizen with a Foreigner and two Foreigners.

I assist you by accompanying you to attend the interview at the Department of Home Affairs Pretoria. 1

Initial Meeting

In the initial meeting, the aim is to determine that we “gel” together. That you are comfortable with the Marriage Officer and that the legalities and basic outline of the ceremony can be discussed. Since we do not hold provisional bookings you will have one (1) week after this meeting to confirm your date and time with us.

2

Further Meetings

Once your booking has been confirmed we can meet together as many times as you want to to discuss your ceremony. You simply phone and make an appointment. Although we recommend a minimum of two (2) meetings you are not limited to this. There will be no additional charge for meetings to discuss the ceremony. Couples getting married are welcome to set a free appointment with me to discuss their wedding service.

Marriage Registrations

We will assist with the legal requirements and register the marriage after the ceremony at the Department of Home Affairs. We offer our outstanding service and commitment to all South Africans and please take note it is required by the Department of Home Affairs that all your documentation must be correct and legal.

Antenuptial Contracts

If the marriage is to be performed with an Antenuptial Contract, an attorney must be consulted and a letter from the attorney is required that will be part of the legal registration of marriage.
